Hurley, Michael

  After a two years' illness, Michael Hurley, the largest property owner of 
Connellsville and president of the Meyersdale Brewing Company, Meyersdale, died 
Saturday night at his home in Connellsville. He was a native of Ireland, coming 
to this country in 1864. Though a hotel keeper and brewery president for years 
it is said he never in his life took a drink. He was married twice, his second 
wife being Miss Anna Weber, daughter of Mrs. Anna Weber of this place, who 
survives with three daughters of the first marriage. His funeral was held 
Tuesday morning in Connellsville.
