Hurst, 53, Water Street, Jenners, died Oct. 21, 1998, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Nov. 15, 1944, in Johnstown, son of Joseph J. and Irene (Wojtaszek) Hurst. Preceded in death by parents, infant sister, Ann; sisters: Thomasene Hurst and Patricia Rice. Survived by sister, Stephenie, at home; former brother-in-law, John Rice, Boswell; niece, Tracey Rice, Chicago; nephews: John Rice Jr., Texas; and Paul Rice, Georgia, and friend, Nancy Klebonis, Boswell RD. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish and former J.B.J. Class of 1963. Retired welder with United Metal Fabricators Inc., Johnstown, and owner-operator of Hurst Garage, Jenners. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Church, Boswell, with the Rev. Father Martin Breski, O.F.M. Conv. celebrant. Interment, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
