Born Oct. 13, 1893, Richland Township, Cambria County, daughter of the late Noah J. and Elizabeth (Holsopple) Hoffman. Also preceded in death by husband, Thomas M., who died Sept. 9, 1970; sister, Myra Hower; two brothers, Jacob M. and Clyde Hoffman. Survived by these children: Helen, wife of Van Berkley of Somerset; Joann, wife of Joseph Rawls of Winston-Salem, N.C.; six grandchildren: Lt. Col Thomas S. Berkley, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Dr. Barbara Majeroni, Philadelphia; Cora Sue Ebbitt, Somerset; John Shupp, Denver, Colo.; Janice Nelligan, Bellingham, Wash.; Rebecca Eicher, Williamsport; eight great-grandchildren. She was a former member of St. David's Lutheran Church; a member of the Westmont Presbyterian Church; graduate of Pennsylvania State College, class of 1918, majoring in home economics; a charter member of the Wednesday Afternoon Delphenian Study Club. The family will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville, where fun [sic] services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday., the Rev. Luther A.
