Born Feb. 15, 1892, in Shade Township, he was the son of the late J.C. and Miriam (Young) Huston. He was preceded in death by daughter, Evelyn, and these brothers: John, Hilary, Samuel, Lucian, Cylon and Howard. He is survived by widow, former Freda Zimmerman, and these children; Homer G., Johnstown; Harry P. and Phillip J., both of Central City RD 1; T. Merle, Norristown; Dorothy, wife of James McIntyre, Berlin; Fred, Somerset; and Hazel, wife of the Rev. Lloyd Wilson, Meyersdale; also 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Kitty, wife of Emanuel Berkebile, Hooversville, and James, Hillsboro. He was a veteran of World War I, charter member of Graef's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cairnbrook, and Central City Post 449, American Legion, and a retired farmer. He celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary in December 1977. Friends were received at Charles E. Brumbaugh Funeral Home, Central City, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Woodrow J. Klinger officiating. Interment, P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville. Graveside military rite by Central City Post 449, American Legion, and Post 7457, VFW.
