All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ SAMUEL HUSTON Samuel Huston, 72, a prominent mortician of Somerset for many years, died at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday morning in Community Hospital, where he had been a patient since September 27, 1942. Mr. Huston's grandfather, Chambers Huston, founded an undertaking business in Somerset more than a century ago. He was succeeded in the business by his son, Alex Huston, who was the father of Samuel Huston. The deceased retired a number of years ago. His wife, Mrs. Jennie (Pugh) Huston, died 18 years ago. Survivors include two children, Paul Huston and Mrs. Wesley Christner, both of Somerset; three sisters, Clara and Ella Huston and Mrs. G. B. Murdock, all of Somerset, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock this Thursday afternoon at the Hauger Funeral Home in Somerset, by Rev. J. F. Messenger, pastor of the Christian Church, of which the deceased was a member. Interment was in the Husband Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, January 21, 1943
