  Shirley A. Huston, 71, of 626 Cross Road, Rockwood RD, died Sept. 10, 2001
  at her residence.  Born June 25, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio.  She was the
  daughter of Olen J. and Rena (Brooks) Givens Sr.  Preceded in death by her
  parents and brothers Olen Jr. and David E. Givens.  She is survived by
  three sons; Douglas H., married to the former Lori Ash, Jennerstown; Mark
  H., Rockwood; Robert B. Jr., married to the former Ramona Myers, Rockwood;
  grandchildren; Alexa, Patrick, Elliot, and Kayla; a sister, Mary Ellen,
  married to Richard Peffly, New Madison, Ohio; and several nieces and
  nephews.  Shirley was a graduate of West Carrolltown High School, Class of
  1948; Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Dayton, Ohio, class of 1951 and
  worked as a registered nurse at Siemon Lakeview Manor and the former Pa.
  State Hospital in Somerset.  She was owner/operator of the Carousel Inn Bed
  & Breakfast; member of the First Christian Church, Somerset, where she was
  instrumental in forming a Care Givers ministry; and a board member of
  Somerset County Rails to Trails.  At Shirley's request there will be no
  viewing.  Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First
  Christian Church, 139 E. Main Street, Somerset, with Rev. Daniel Nichsich,
  officiating.  Family will receive friends following the service in the
  church fellowship hall.  Deaner Funeral Home is in charge of
  arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be sent to First Christian
  Church, or In Touch Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave. Suite 111, Somerset, Pa.,
  or American Cancer Society, Somerset Unit 168 W. Union St., Somerset, Pa.
