Born in Accident, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Durst and Martha (Spiker) Durst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hutzel. She was a member of Laughlin Church of the Brethren. She is survived by six sons, Elmer Hutzel, Clark Hutzel, Salisbury; Mahlon Hutzel, Thomas Hutzel, Havard Hutzel, Frank Hutzel, all of Grantsville; two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Durst, Grantsville, and Miss Verna Hutzel, McKeesport; one brother, Emory Durst, Meyersdale; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Tressler, Springs, and Mrs. Carrie Durst, Sarver, Pa.; 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. Services were conducted in Laughlin Church of the Brethren by the Rev. James Deremer. Interment will be in Durst Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nevin Hutzel, William Hutzel, Arthur Hutzel, Elwood Hutzel, Eugene Broadwater and Gregory Durst. The Republic, May 12, 1983 [H2011]
