  M. Elaine Hutzel, 86, Salisbury, died June 12, 2005, at Goodwill Mennonite
  Home, Grantsville, Md. Born March 1, 1919, in Elk Lick Township, she is the
  daughter of the late Walter E. and Catherine (Hotchkiss) Hersh. She is preceded
  in death by a sister, Margaret Swartzwelder and two brothers, William and
  Richard Allen Hersh. Surviving are her son, Austin C. "Chip" Hutzel, Jr. and
  wife, Betty, Salisbury; her daughter, Phyllis J. Griffith, Kent, Ohio; one
  brother, Charles "Ray" Hersh, Culpeper, Va.; two sisters, Donna Jean
  McClintock, Kent, Ohio; Alice Jane Christner, Akron, Ohio; five granddaughters,
  Pamela Faith Calvin, Lisa Ann Torres, Lori Jane Kesling, Anna Marie Hutzel and
  Betty Jo Zonis; five great grandchildren, Catherine Elaine Bobick, Timothy Lee
  Calvin, Angela Marie Hahn, David Edward Hahn and Olivia Marie Stevenson and one
  great-great-granddaughter, Savannah Ann Alexander. Mrs. Hutzel was past
  president and life member of VFW Post 8826 Auxiliary, member of the Military
  Couties and American Legion Post 459 Auxiliary and St. John's Lutheran Church.
  She had been employed as a personal care giver. Friends will be received 1:30
  to 2:30 p.m., the time of service, at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., 9168
  Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury. The Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
