  PIPER-HUTZEL
  
    Mabel (Roddy) Piper-Hutzel, 90, formerly of Thomasdale, Hollsopple
  RD 2, died April 2, 1997, at the Lutheran Home of Johnstown.  Born
  Jan. 30, 1907, in Upper Yoder Township, Cambria County, daughter of
  Wilson and Emma (Fender) Roddy.  Preceded in death by parents; first
  husband, Jacob Piper, June 15, 1949; second husband, Charles Hutzel,
  April 30, 1975; sisters: Grace Roddy and Nora Evans, and brother,
  Jay.  Survived by brother, Samuel Francis Roddy, married to Aldene
  McGregor, Pine Crest Estates, Johnstown RD 4, and two nephews: Ronald
  Roddy and Donald Roddy, both of Johnstown.  Member of the Benscreek
  Evangelical Lutheran Church, Somerset Pike, near Thomas Mills. 
  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral
  Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.  Viewing also from 10 a.m. until
  time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Benscreek Church, with the
  Rev. Raymond A. Sistek officiating.  Interment, Grandview Cemetery,
  Johnstown.
