"Jim" Hutzel, 69, Schellsburg RD 1, died April 6, 1996, at home. Born Sept. 26, 1926, in Elk Lick Township, Somerset County. Son of the late Charles and Florence (Engle) Hutzel. Preceded in death by wife, Frances J. (McCreary) Hutzel, who died Aug. 5, 1985. Also preceded in death by four brothers: Waide, John, Billy and Harry, and a sister, Hazel Puschnigg. Survived by Linda (Williams) Moffatt, companion and care giver with whom he made his home; stepdaughter Cathaline, wife of Edgar Lynn Manges, Bedford RD 5; sisters: Margaret Shuster, Windber RD; Ruth Kozola, Jenners, and Jean Wojnarowski, Boswell. Also a number of nieces and nephews, 6 step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren. Retired after 30 years as a taxi driver with Friendly Taxi Co. in Lancaster. He was of the Lutheran faith. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Charles Rhodes officiating.
