Born Aug. 18, 1912, in Greenville Township. She was a daughter of the late William G. and Annie M. (Jones) Baer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clarence L. Hutzell, on April 10, 1992; a daughter, Dixie Lee Fate, in 1964; a brother, Estel Baer and four sisters, Thelma Baer, Arlene Rose, Lucille Christner and Ruth Decker. Survived by a daughter, Doretha Ringler, Salisbury; a sister, Pearl Fluharty, Barberton, Ohio. Five grandchildren: Patricia Shaffer, Greensboro, N.C.; Richard Ringler, Keyser, W.Va.; Carolyn Weyant, Meyersdale; Janice Minnick, Cumberland, Md.; and Gregory Fate, West River, Md.; and seven great-grandchildren, Ryan Shaffer, Lori Shaffer, Jeremy Minnick, Tracy Weyant, Amber Weyant, Lydia Ringler and Ryan Fate. Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
