Hyatt died at her home here at 7 p.m., Monday, May 11th, at the age of 86 years. She fell about five weeks previous to her death fracturing her left hip, from which she suffered greatly until her death. Mrs. Hyatt was well and popularly known by nearly every one here, having lived in Confluence for the past 25 years, and in the community practically all her life. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was one of the most active members in that church here for many years. She was a kind and considerate mother, and was well beloved by all who knew her. Her husband, Josiah Hyatt, passed away many years ago. She is survived by the following children: Lewis Hyatt of Star Junction; Mrs. Estella Funk of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Elsie Glotfelty at home. She is also survived by two brothers, Capt. W. H. Sanner, of Johnstown, and Cyrus M. Sanner, of Confluence. Funeral services were held in the Confluence Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 14, Rev. Daniel E. Hartman officiating. Interment in the Jersey Cemetery, Charles B. Humbert had charge of the funeral arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, May 21, 1931
