(Dick) Hyde, 65, Summerville, formerly of Confluence, died Aug. 2, 1987, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 20, 1921, in Confluence, son of Edith K. (Stark) Hyde of Confluence and the late John W. Hyde. Also surviving are wife, Virginia (Glover) Hyde; two sons, Richard D. of Clarion and James A. of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Jeanette Tressler of Pittsburgh and Joyce Lane of DuBois; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles of Hagerstown, Md., and Jack of Long Island, N.Y.; and a sister, Elizabeth Gurto of Wexford. Veteran of World War II and a member of Ursina American Legion, Confluence VFW Post 7250 and the Disabled American Veterans. Friends are being received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Tuesday and until 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Daryl Harclerode officiating. Interment, Sansom Chapel Cemetery.
