  HYDE, Minnie Belle 07/08/09 Daily American
  
   Minnie Belle Hyde, 88, Bedford, died July 6, 2006, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
  She was born July 11, 1917, in Elkton, Va. a daughter of the late William K. and Melissa
  (Lamb) Gooden. She was also preceded in death by a son, William C. Hyde; an infant
  daughter, Esther Mae Hyde and two brothers. She is survived by, Walter C. Hyde, her
  husband of 66 years whom she married March 23, 1940; sons, Harry W. Hyde and wife Kay of
  Bedford, Daniel W. Hyde and wife Marsha of Richardson, Texas; a daughter, Phyllis D.
  Helmick and husband Roy of Davis, West Virginia; a brother, James Ollie Gooden of
  Fairhope; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hyde was a member of Dry
  Ridge United Church of Christ. She worked for the Fairfoot Shoe Factory in Bedford for
  many years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Sunday at the Harvey H.
  Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman. A funeral service will be conducted
  at 11 a.m. Monday at Dry Ridge United Church of Christ, Glade Pike, Manns Choice, at with
  the Rev. Loyal W. Kelso officiating. Burial will follow at Dry Ridge Cemetery.
