Somerset Daily American, Somerset, PA (Thursday 9 Dec 1965 p. 2)
  Dorsey R Hoffman, 85, of Berlin, died Dec. 8, in Berlin.  He was born Dec. 2,
1880, in Somerset 
County, a son of the late Henry J and Sadie Moore Hoffman.
  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nettie Walker, also three
brothers and one sister.
  Mr. Hoffman is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Philip Bennis, Johnstown, one
granddaughter, 
Patricia Ann; one brother and one sister, Robert Hoffman, Hooversville, and Mrs.
James Bell, 
Sipesville.
  He was a member of Berlin Trinity United Church of Christ and the Berlin IOOF
Lodge.  He served as 
Civil Engineer for the Consolidation Coal Company for several years, also school
director for eight 
years of Berlin-Brothersvalley School.  He was also one of the organizers of the
Hillcrest Grange and 
a retired farmer.
  Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today in the Johnson and Son Funeral Home,
Berlin, where 
services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Randall L Heckman
officiating.  
   Interment will be in the Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
