BARBARA ICKES

  Funeral services were conducted here Monday afternoon for Mrs. Barbara Ickes, 
23, wife of Ranson Ickes, formerly of Meyersdale, who died Saturday in a 
Baltimore hospital.  Rev. O. A. Lorenz, pastor of the Main Street Brethren 
Church, officiated, and was assisted by Rev. Howard K. Hilner, pastor of the 
Zion Lutheran Church.  Interment was in Union Cemetery under the direction of H. 
R. Konhaus.
  Mrs. Ickes was a daughter of George and Martha (Baughman) Keefer and was born 
on December 20, 1918.  She leaves her husband, her mother, Mrs. Martha Meyers, 
who resides near Rockwood; her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Baughman, and a daughter, 
Charlotte Ickes.
