  Mrs. Grace E. Ickes, 87, of Jenners, died May 1, 1980, at Somerset Community
  Hospital. Born Feb. 12, 1893, in Shanksville, daughter of Irvin
  and Rose (Baldwin) Snowberger. Preeeded in death by her parents; husband,
  Leo F. (Lee), who died April 29, 1968; son, Robert; sister, Margaret Durst;
  and brothers, Edgar and Claude, Survived by a son, Leonard (Bus) Beatty,
  married to the former Pauline Vogt, Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren and
  several great-grandchildren; also a brother, Hilton of Easton, Pa. Member of
  St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and Auxiliary to Ameriean Legion Post 461,
  Boswell. Former tax assessor and Republican Committewoman in Jenner Township,
  Somerset County. Friends were received Friday evening and will be received from
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and until 1 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227
  Allegheny St., Boswell. Body will be removed to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church
  to lie in state from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Sunday, the Rev.
  George A. Clark and the Rev. Chancey J. Ickes officiating. Interment, Jenner
  Crossroads Cemetery. No viewing at the church. Auxiliary service 7:30 p.m.
  Saturday.
