  Helen E. Ickes, 53, Salisbury RD 1, died Nov. 2, 1985, in Chelsea, Mich. Born
  Aug. 19, 1932, in Salisbury, daughter of the late Ernest E. Hoffman and Hazel
  V. (Broadwater) Hoffman of Salisbury. Besides her mother, also survived by
  husband, Robert W.; one daughter, Mrs. Kathy J. Hughes, Chesea, Mich.; one
  brother, Austin Hoffman, Memphis, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Joshua and
  Marci. Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, where she taught
  Sunday School and was a choir member. Friends will be received Monday 7-9
  p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where
  funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., the Rev. David E. Fetter
  officiating. Interment Salisbury Cemetery.
