Ickes, 85, 800 Bryn Mawr Blvd., Mary Esther, Fla., formerly of Meyersdale, died February 28, 1990, in Florida. He was bom May 8, 1904, in Meyersdale, son of the late George and Nettie (Imler) Ickes. He is survived by wife, former Thelma Sipple, St. Paul; and daughter, Eleanor Aguiar, Mary Esther, Fla.; also two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the former owner of the former Thrift Food Market, Roxbury; former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Johnstown. Interment, Florida. The Republic, March 15, 1990 PAUL E. ICKES Paul E. Ickes, 85, 800 Bryn Mawr Blvd., Mary Esther, Fla., died Wednesday, February 28, 1990 in a Florida nursing facility, after an extended illness. He was a native of Florida, and moved to this area in 1966 from Johnstown. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and a retired grocery store owner. Survivors include his wife, Thlema M. Ickes; daughter, Eleanor Aguiar, both of Mary Esther, Fla.; brother, Frederick Ickes, of Street, MD; sister, Anna Ickes, of Confluence; grandchildren: Paula R. and Tommy Davis, of Niceville, Fla.; and Guy F. Hamblin, of Mary Esther,Fla.; and great-grandchildren: Paul Davis and Wendi Davis, both of Niceville, Fla. Friends were received at Little Chapel Funeral Home, Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Steven F. Marko officiating. Interment, Beal Memorial Cemetery. The Republic, March 22, 1990
