  ICKES
  
  Paul F. Ickes, 70, 729 Main St., Berlin, died Sept. 11, 1988, at Somerset
  Community Hospital. Born Nov. 12, 1917, in Brothersvalley Township, son of
  Clyde and Dorothy (Kendall) Ickes. Preceded in death by parents and son
  Kirby. Survived by wife, the former Edna Hoffman. His death ends a marriage
  union of 49 years. Also these children: Carole, San Diego, Calif.; Kevan,
  married to the former Connie Leer, Berlin RD 1; Kerry, married to the former
  Carol Belsar, Berlin; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Brother
  of C. W. Ickes II, Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Calvert (Avis) Rhodes, Berlin RD 3. 
  Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. Member of Trinity U.C.C. Berlin.
  Member, past commander and current adjutant of Harry Fisher Post 445 American
  Legion, Berlin. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service wil be held at
  10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Carl Schwarm, officiating. Interment, I.O.O.F.
  cemetery, Berlin.
