He was a retired railroad man, having worked for the B & O Railroad and the Western Maryland Railroad for 32 years. He was watchman at the Main Street crossing of the Western Maryland for about 13 years. About five years ago an infection which had started in his foot necessitated the amputation of his leg. Mr. Imhoff was born in Berlin, Sept. 16, 1863, the son of William and Mary Imhoff. In 1884 he married Miss Annie S. Weimer of Somerset, and together they came to Meyersdale to make their home. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lydia Saylor, Meyersdale; Mrs. Hilda Beachy, Youngstown, O., and Mrs. Vera Gnagey, Akron. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home, the Rev. Edwin C. Nagle, his pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the Berlin IOOF cemetery, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale. Meyersdale Republican, May 19, 1949
