Over a year ago she was injured very badly by falling, which resulted in partial paralysis, and for a considerable time before her death she was unable to walk. In spite of the fact that she was an invalid most of her life, she lived to the age of 73 years, 10 months and 1 day. Miss Inks was born and reared in Garrett County, Md., and was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Jane McCartney Inks. She was a member of a large family of children, most of whom have died, but is survived by one brother and two sisters, namely, George Inks, of Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. Nannie Beal, of Salisbury, and Mrs. William Penn, of Black River Falls, Wis. For many years following the death of her parents, Miss Inks resided in Salisbury, making her home with Mrs. Beal, and at intervals with other blood relatives. She became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church early in life, and remained faithful to its tenets to the end. During the last year of her life she realized that her death was not far off, but was completely resigned, felt fully prepared for the change, and often expressed the hope that death would come to her relief soon. She was a person of kindly disposition, and always did the best she knew. Mrs. Beal, the sister at whose home she died, always made her as comfortable and happy as she could, and friends and neighbors also showed kindly consideration for her, and assisted Mrs. Beal to such an extent that she will ever remember their neighborly kindness and helpfulness. The funeral was held last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Paul Trimpey, her pastor, officiating. The burial arrangement was in charge of Funeral Director W. C. Price of Meyersdale. Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, May 22, 1930
