  Betty R. Isabel, 45, Deer Park, Md., died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1988, at Johns
  Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
  Born June 21, 1943, in Grantsville, Md., she was the daughter of Grace P.
  (Sisler) Guthrie, Grantsville, Md., and the late Glenn R. Guthrie. She was
  preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Isabel, in July, 1988.
  She was a former aide at the Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home, Oakland, Md., and a
  housekeeper at the Grantsville Holiday Inn. 
  Surviving, besides her mother, are one step-daughter, Sharon L. Collins,
  Oakland, Md.; one step-son, Samuel F. Isabel, Wells, Maine; six brothers,
  James Guthrie, Frostburg, Md.; Robert Guthrie, Grantsville, Md.; Floyd Ray
  Guthrie, Cumberland, Md.; Paul Guthrie and Delbert Guthrie, both of
  Lonaconing, Md.; and Carl Guthrie, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; six sisters, Mrs.
  Genevieve Swauger, Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Marie Hixon and Mrs. Linda
  Gallaway, both of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; Mrs. Thelma Russell, Barton, Md.;
  Mrs. Helen A. Fike, Germany; and Miss Mary Lou Guthrie, at home.
  Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, Md.; where
  services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. M. Ross Glotfelty.
  Interment, Rodeheaver Cemetery.
