Born Aug. 21, 1907 in Somerset Township, a daughter of Robert Homer and Mary Elizabeth (Berkey) Speicher. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Gerald M. Isbell; sister, Viola Walker, and brother Ernest Speicher, and two infant brothers. Survived by a son, Gerald M. Isabell II and wife, June of Bradenton, Fla.; and grandchildren; Gerald M. Isbell III and wife, Jamie, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Michael (Susan) Phipps, Longwood, Fla.; David Isbell of Tampa, Fla. and great-grandchildren: Luisa, Faith, and Gabriel Isbell; Jennifer, Jillian, and Jaime Phipps; and Veronica Isbell. A 1928 graduate of Hood College in Frederick, Md., worked as a transportation specialist in the general accounting office of the Federal Government, retiring in 1965. Also a member of Rockwood United Church of Christ, National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She had also taught Radio at Scott Field, now, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Kenneth Davis officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
