Jablon (Valburga Victoria Jablonofsky), 87, Windber, went to be with the Lord, Nov. 20, 2006. Born Feb. 25, 1919 in Windber, daughter of Ludwig and Anna (Fronyek) Jablonofsky. Preceded in death by parents; foster parents, Marie and Ferdinand Yicha; brothers, Adolph Jablon and William Jablon and his first wife, Berta, and his second wife, Irene; sister, Mary " Erma" (Jablon) and her husband, Joseph Liska; nephews, Theodore, Thomas, Richard, Dennis, Allan and Michael Liska; grand-niece, Rose Ann Liska. Violet was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Violet (Jablon), wife of David Bunk; William A. Jablon, married to the former Janet Miller; Marlene (Jablon), wife of Robert Baker; Maria (Jablon), wife of Mark O'Ship; Amy (Jablon) wife of Rob Zeglin; and Karl Jablon, married to the former Kelly Marko. Also survived by Catherine (Kopasek), widow of Theodore Liska; Lillian (Kopasek), widow of Thomas Liska; Lyndia (Fleming), widow of Richard Liska; Sharon (Harbaugh), widow of Dennis Liska; Sally Ann (Kada), widow of Allan Liska; and Priscilla (Muldoon), widow of Michael Liska. Also many grandnieces, grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Committal church cemetery.
