Jack, 74, of 1449 Mae West Road, Confluence, died April 14, 1999, at his home. He was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Homestead, a son of Samuel L. and Hazel Ruth (Anderson) Jack. Preceded in death by parents and first wife, Helen E. (Flanigan) Jack. He is survived by wife, Jessie Marmo Jack; three sons: Samuel T. of State College; Rev. Charles G. Jr., of Knox; and Robert D. of Shoemakersville; a daughter, Barbara Strock of Denver, Pa.; stepson, Bill Marmo of Lower Burrell; seven grandchildren; and a borther, Robert S. Jack of Pittsburgh. He was a member of the Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church, serving in various capacities, including choir director, for over 45 years. Former secretary of Henry Clay Township. Retired U.S. Postal employee with 30 years service. Fifty year member of the Masonic Blue Lodge of Homestead. A member of Pittsburgh Syria Shrine and Chapter 453 Springdale O.E.S. He was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Ursina American Legion the Lower Burrell V.F.W. Friends will be received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence from 2-9 p.m., Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday the hour of service, Rev. Del Wasser officiating.
