JACKSON Elmer Merl Jackson, 60, of 265 Welsh Hill, Frostburg, Md., died Tuesday, April 15, 1986, at Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit, Cumberland, MD. shortly after admission. Born March 5, 1926 in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late William H. Jackson and Blanche (Shumaker) Jackson. He was the last memeber of his immediate family. He was a retired employee of the Kelly-Springfiled Tire Company and a member of Salem United Church of Christ. An avid sportsman, he was a baseball team member of the Bi-State League and Penn Mar League; a member of the Frostburg City Bowling League, Allegany County Bowling League, Blaugh Memorial Bowling League and the Allegany Coon Hunters Club. Surviving are his widow, Lois (Eisentrout) Jackson; a son, Kim T. Jackson, Frostburg, Md. and three grandchildren. The body will be cremated. A memorial service was conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Durst Funeral Home by the Rev. George L. Wehler and the Rev. T. William Preston. The Republic, April 24, 1986 [J0011]
