Born May 29, 1920 in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late Marshall J. and Rhoda E. (Caulk) Bohannan. Survived by her husband, Earl Edward Jackson; sister Miriam, married to James Garey of Somerset; nephew Gilbert Berlinicke of Baltimore, Md.; niece Barbara Kiser of Harrington, Del.; also cousins Kenneth and Marilyn Glauber of Towson, Md. Retired home economics and industiral needle teacher for Pittsburgh Public Schools and Somerset County Vo-Tech School. Former Indian Lake Boro Tax Collector. Member of Unity United Church of Christ where she was the former treasurer and taught Sunday school. Active volunteer with the American Cancer Society and ran Daffodil Days in Somerset County for several years. She received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the American Cancer Society. Member and past president of both the 4th Society of Farm Women and Somerset County Farm Women. Family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Fuenral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Unity United Church of Christ, Shanksville. Rev. Jay E. Shaffer officiating. Interment, Glade Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Unity U.C.C. Building Fund, Shanksville, Pa. 15560, or the American Cancer Society, 168 W. Union St. Somerset, Pa., 15501.
