Jacobs, 95, of Springs, formerly of Hollsopple RD 2, died Jan. 28, 1985, at home. Born Aug. 13, 1889, Conemaugh Township, daughter of Joseph and Almira (Blough) Risch. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Paul, who died June 27, 1964; sister, Carrie Kaufman; and brother, Irvin. Survived by these children: Willard P., Lutz, Fla.; retired Colonel Gerald O., Willimsburg, Va.; Mrs. Herbert (Twila) Armstrong, Hollsopple RD 3; Mrs. Erma Wentz, Somerset RD 2; Dr. Merle, Goshen, Ind.; Dwight, North Lima, Ohio; Arnold, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Duane, Durham, N.C.; Dr. Donald, Landisville, Pa.; Mrs. John (Roma) Ruth, Harleysville; and Mrs. Bradley (Dorthea) Otto, Springs. She was the oldest member of Kaufman Mennonite Church where she was a Sunday school and Bible teacher. Past president of the Sewing Circle, and with her husband helped establish several mission outposts in Western Pennsylvania. Since 1964, she was active in the Sewing Circle at Springs Mennonite Church. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville, where brief services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday following by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Kaufman Mennonite Church where remains will lie in state from 1 p.m. until time of service with the Rev.
