All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ MARY ALICE JAMISON Mrs. Mary Alice Jamison died at her home at Homestead Thursday, August 11th, after an illness of several years, suffering from a nervous breakdown and complication of diseases. She was aged 57 years, having been born in Ursina in 1872, a daughter of the late Harry and Sarah VanSickle. She spent most of her younger days in Ursina and vicinity, and since leaving here made many return trips to her home town. She was for many years a member of the First Christian Church of West Homestead. Surviving are her husband, seven sons, Clyde, Harry, Walter, Fred, Oscar, George and Edward Jamison, and one daughter, Miss Alice Jamison, all of West Homestead. Surviving also are three brothers, Dorsey VanSickle, Kennywood; Harry VanSickle, Wilkinsburg, and John VanSickle, Ursina. One sister, Mrs. Jennie McClintock, also survives. The body was brought to the C. B. Humbert undertaking establishment on Thursday evening, and funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Sunday, in the Ursina Church of God, Rev. Walter Merrick of the First Christian Church of West Homestead officiating. Interment in the Jersey Cemetery. Among those who attended the funeral were Mrs. Hickey and two children, Ray Powell and Mr. Shaw, of West Homestead, neighbors of the deceased. Meyersdale Republican, August 18, 1932
