Born Sept. 28, 1903, in Spangler, son of late Andrew and Mary (Figmick) Jano, also preceded in death by wife, the former Florence Lepley on Sept. 2, 1987, and by two daughters: Rosaline, and Ruth Jano, and a son, Paul Jano, and a brother, John, and sisters: Margie Stein, Betty Grobezina, and Mary Jano. Survived by these children: Mrs. Fred (Betty) Shaulis, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Eugene (Helen) Weigle, Somerset RD 5, Mrs. Harold (Catherine) Hutchens, Friedens RD 1, Steve J. Jano Jr., Berlin RD 3, Clyde J. Jano, Tulsa, Okla.; Joseph P. Jano, and Anthony L. Jano, both of Somerset RD 5, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Webb, and Mrs. Susan Webb both of Berlin RD 1, Mrs. Robert (Teresa) Fitzgerald, Somerset RD 5, also 40 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Irene Nice, Perth Amboy, N.J. Retired coal miner and brick layer. Member of St. Peter's Cahtolic Church, and the brick layers union. Church, and the brick layers union. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant. Interment, Listie Catholic Cemetery.
