She was the daughter of the late Earl and Myrtle Leslie, long-time residents of Somerset. Mrs. Jarrett graduated from Somerset High School in 1939, and from the California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science in elementary education in 1944. She taught school for 30 years. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Retired Teachers' Association, the Centennial Retired Teacher Association, the North & Southampton Reformed Church and life-member of the County Choraliers. She loved gardening and especially enjoyed growing flowers. She is survived by her husband, Frederick H. Jarrett, and daughter, Leslie Jordan of Bloomfield, Conn. A memorial service was held at the North & Southampton Reformed Church on Aug. 4. Daily American, August 12, 1989 [J0074]
