    ROBERT P. JAY
  
    Robert P. Jay, 76, Finzel, died July 20, in Sacred Heart Hospital, where
  he had been admitted July 10.  He had been in failing health for three years.
    A native of Bedford County, he was a son of the late Samuel and Agnes Jay. 
    Surviving are his wife, the former Edna L. Smith; six daughters and three
  sons:  Mrs. Relda Smith, Artemas; Mrs. Vada Martin, Mrs. Irene Dye and Mrs.
  Martha A. Reynolds, all of Akron; Mrs. Wilma Shipley, Clearville; and Miss
  Adna Jay, at home; Robert G. Jay, Finzel; Dale W. and Richard I. Jay, both
  of Akron; 17 grandchildren and three great-granchildren.
    He was a brother of Mrs. Ann Gandie, Mrs. Pearl Solbsy and Charles Jay,
  all of Akron; and Conda Jay, St. Petersburg, Fla.
    Funeral service was held on Sunday afternoon at Fairview Christian Church
  in Artemas, with Rev. George Baughman officating.  Interment was made in the
  church cemetery.
