JEFFERYS Sudden Death of Walter Jefferys ADDISON, Dec. 14 - Walter A. Jefferys died at East End, Pittsburgh, of heart failure, on Monday, Dec. 7. He was born in West Virginia on July 17, 1869, and was aged 62 years, 4 months and 20 days. His parents, Mrs. Mary Jane Jefferys and Amos S. Jefferys, moved from Virginia when he was small, to Addison, Pa., where he grew to manhood. When a young man he left home and made his own way. In 1898, he served in the army in the War with Spain, and later he obtained work on a street railway as a conductor and served in that capacity the rest of his life. The day he died he made his regular run and came into the car barn and was leaving for home when he dropped dead. He was married to Miss Margaret Weimer and to them, four children were born - two daughters and two sons - Wilma and Mary, Lester and Nelson Jefferys - all married except Nelson. Mr. Jefferys made his home with his oldest daughter, Wilma, who lived in East End Pittsburgh. He leaves three brothers and two sisters, Charles N., Frank L. and Albert C. Jefferys, all of Addison Borough, Mrs. Mary McCulloh, of Piedmont, W.Va., and Mrs. Ruth Rogan, of Cumberland, Md. He was buried on Thursday, December 10, at 2:30 p.m., by the side of his wife who died 14 years ago, of double pneumonia. Meyersdale Republican, December 17, 1931
