    Ernest Jeffries, 78, of Confluence, died Jan. 20, 1993, at Henry Clay
  Villa, Markleysburg.  Born Aug. 12, 1914, in Confluence, a son of the late
  Edward E. and Lillie (Bailey) Jeffries.  He is survived by a sister, Ferne
  Ream of Los Angeles, Calif.; also nieces, nephews and cousins.  Friends
  will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home in
  Confluence, where services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev.
  Wilbur Rodkey officiating.  Interment, Jersey Cemetery.
