Jenkins, 92, of Grantsville RD 2, Md., died Monday, Feb. 13, 1989, at his residence. He was born Feb. 12, 1897 in Grantsville, Md., the son of the late Arnold and Mary (Diefenbach) Jenkins. He was a retired maintenance man for the Ohio school system in Columbia. He was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren. His wife, Minta (Miller) Jenkins, died Dec. 2, 1982. Jenkins, died Dec. 2, 1982. Surviving are six sons: Robert Jenkins, Akron, Ohio; Edward O. Jenkins Jr., Mogadore, Ohio; William Donald Jenkins, Baltimore, Md.; James Jenkins. Houston, Texas; Jack Jenkins, Naples, Fla.; and Harold Jenkins, Pittsburgh; two daughters: Lois Durst, Grantsville, Md.; and Pat Walkter, Mogadore, Ohio; one sister, Cora Cregighton, Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. Services were conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Earl Harper.
