Jenkins, 79, Shippensburg, died June 4, 1994, in University Hospital, Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. Former resident of Somerset County. Born Dec. 15, 1914, in Childress, Texas, the daughter of the late John W. and Lula Loyd Barksdale Woods. Employed by the U.S. government; started working for the War Department in 1941. She retired in 1968. She was of the Methodist faith. A 50 year member of Amarillo (Texas) Chapter 787, Order of Eastern Star. Her Hobbies were going to auctions and genealogy. She was a member of a number of genealogy societies. Widow of George M. Jenkins, who died April 28, 1986. Survived by son: David W. Jenkins, and daughter-in-law, Anne R. Payne Jenkins, Meyersdale, and a daughter, Mary G. (Mrs. Robert) Martin, Salem, Va.; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, 1 nephew and 2 nieces. She was the last of her immediate family. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Arlingon National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. There will be no viewing or visitation.
