A well and favorably known former citizen of Meyersdale and late of Pine Hill, died on Tuesday and was buried in the Union cemetery in place on Thursday afternoon. Mr. Joder was a boy soldier in the Civil War being age at the time of his death, 68 years. He was a member of the G. A. R. of Meyersdale. Mr. Joder was twice married, the first wife being Miss Eliza, youngest daughter of John Hostetler. His second wife who survives was Mrs. Cyrus Walter. One daughter, Mrs. Stella Morrison of Chambersburg also survives. There are two living sisters - Mrs. Susan Hoffman of South Fork and Mrs. Carrie Gonder of Johnstown. Mr. Yoder was a blacksmith by trade and foundry man. He moved later to Pine Hill where he was mail carrier. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
