Johns, 87, Davidsville, died Feb. 7, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 9, 1918, in Hollsopple, daughter of William and Lydia (Yoder) Saylor. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Captain Forest R. Johns, Army Air Corps, M.I.A. World War II and brothers, William Saylor Jr. Survived by these brothers and sisters, Beatrice Blough, Windber; James Saylor Sr.; Violet, married to Lee Wible Sr.; Robert Y., married to the former Audrey Laughner; John J., married to the former Betty Mock; and Betty J. married to Richard Layton, all of Davidsville; Nancy, married to Jacob Shaffer, Friedens; Frank D., married to the former Leona Mack, Hollsopple; and Roberta, married to Robert Bowman, Woodbridge, Va. Member of St. David's Lutheran Church. She retired as a supervisor from Bestform Foundation. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross and St. Francis Sharing and Caring and was a life member of Conemaugh Township Historical Society. Family receiving friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at St. David's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Susan Yatta officiating. Interment, Kaufman Cemetery.
