  JOHNS
  
  Mary L. Johns, 90, of Davidsville died Sept. 1, 2001 at Conemaugh Medical
  Center.  Born Aug. 12, 1911 in Johnstown, daughter of Joseph W. and Annie
  (Miller) Johns.  Preceded in death by parents, brothers Lewis and Joseph M.
  and sister Emma Johns Bettle.  Survived by niece, Margaret Bettle, married
  to Jeffrey Chynoweth, Davidsville, and great- nephew Jason John Chynoweth,
  married to the former Darby Close, Hooversville.  She was a direct
  descendant of Joseph Johns, the founder of Johnstown.  Family and friends
  were received Monday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., where
  visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m.
  Tuesday.  The Rev. Barry Baroni officiating.  Interment Joseph Johns
  Cemetery.
