(Thomas) Johnson, 94, of Salisbury, died Feb. 25, 1978, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born October 27, 1883, in Markleysburg, she was a daughter of the late John B. and Elizabeth (Humbertson) Markley. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Thomas, and her second husband, Alex H. Johnson. A former teacher in Fayette County, she was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, Order of the Easter Star, and Trinity Chapter 138 of Somerset. She is survived by a son, Stanley M. Thomas, of Salibury; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Evelyn Murphy, Meyersdale; two stepsons, Howard E. Johnson, Meyersdale, and Carl A. Johnson, Juno Beach, Fla.; two grandsons, eight great-grandchildren, and eight step grandchildren. Services were held at the Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest M. Rumbaugh officiating.
