  JOHNSON
  
  Arthur N. Johnson, 85, of Ligonier RD 2 died unexpectedly Wednesday
  afternoon.  He was born in Ligonier Township Dec. 8, 1893, son of the late
  Edward and Caroline Stone Johnson.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran
  Church in Darlington.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Phoebe M.
  Johnson.  He is survived by six children, Lloyd C. of Ligonier R.D. 2;
  Arthur H. of Fayettesville, N.C.; Ruth Johnson Bates of Ligonier R.D. 1;
  Mrs. Carol (Lois) Shick of Latrobe; Donald D. of Atlanta, Ga.; and Wayne R.
  of Ligonier R.D. 1; 20 grandchildren; two brothers, Adolph and Edward S.
  both of Ligonier R. D. 2, and two sisters:  Mrs. Lawrence (Alma) Rose of
  Ligonier and Mrs. Eugene (Esther) Riggs, Friedens, Pa. Services will be
  held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev.
  Herbert N. Brant officiating.  Interment will follow in Ligonier Valley
  Cemetery.
