Johnson, 71 of 295 Cumberland St., Berlin, died Sept. 25, 1982, at home. She was born Nov. 4, 1910, in Greensburg, daughter of Theodore and Grace (McKnight) Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. She is survived by her husband, Eugene C.; and a son, J. Theodore Thomas of Pittsburgh. She was a graduate of Hood College, Class of 1932; and taught in Allegany County Schools, Cumberland, Md., and Hempfield Township School, Westmoreland County. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and teacher of the men's bible Class for many years. She was serving her second term as president of Miller Memorial Center Board of Directors. She was a charter member and past president of Pius Spring Woman's Club of Berlin and the literary group of that club. She was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Berlin. Friends were received at the Johnson - Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson and the Rev. Eric Rowland officiating, Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F.
