EDWARD W. JOHNSON
Grantsville, Maryland

  Relatives here received word last week that Edward W. Johnson, aged 62, a 
former Grantsville resident, had died at his home at Geneva, Ill., Friday night, 
Dec. 20.  Mr. Johnson was born at Grantsville, a son of the late Baker and 
Rebecca Johnson, but had made his home in Illinois for a number of years. 
Besides his wife, the former Grace Merrell, a native of Avilton, and three 
children, all of whom reside at Geneva, the following brothers and sisters 
survive: Mrs. J. Clarence Miller, Jonas, James and Guy Johnson, Grantsville, 
Mrs. James Schumbert near State Line, Arthur Johnson, Meyersdale, and John 
Johnson, Frostburg.  Three grandchildren also survive.  Funeral services were 
held Monday.
