Born April 2, 1944, in Somerset. Son of Clarence Ira and Edith Marie (Hemminger) Johnson, Johnstown. Preceded in death by brother, Daniel Johnson. Survived by wife, he former Linda Faye Schrock, to whom he was married for 31 years. Also survived by these children: Eric D. Johnson, married to Jennifer Barron, Berlin, and Mrs. Charles R. (Kristen) Mort, Grove City; also two grandchildren, Megan and Samantha Johnson. Brother of Mrs. Charles (Jean) Swindell, North Olmsted, Ohio; Clarence Johnson Jr., Waynesburg; Mrs. Dorothy Fruner, Elyria, Ohio; Mrs. James (Carley) Suter, Somerset; Mrs. Rena Tipton, Mantua, Ohio; Thomas C. Johnson, Euclid, Ohio; Mrs. Thomas (Ruth) Barron, Somerset RD 3; Glenn E. Johnson, fort Collins, Colo.; Mrs. Richard (Kay) Neri, Boswell RD 2; Mrs. Dale (Linda) Griffith, Bethel Park. Member of Somerset Alliance Church, Somerset Sportsmen association, Somerset County Fly Tying Club. Life member of National Sporting Clays Association and level two instructor. 1962 graduate of Somerset High School and 1969 graduate of Cambria-Rowe Business College. Driver for Luther P. Miller Inc. Veteran of U. S. Marine Corps. Served during the Vietnam War with rank of staff sergeant. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Somerset Alliance Church, the Rev. Dr. Melvin Vance and the Rev. Sherman Berkey Officiating. Interment, Lavansville Cemetery.
