IRENE JOHNSON

  Miss Irene Johnson passed away at her home on Main Street, Berlin, about 7 
o'clock Tuesday morning.  For a number of years she had been suffering from 
diabetes, but up until the day before her death she was able to be about.  She 
was aged over 70 years.
  Miss Johnson was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Johnson who passed away 
many years ago.  She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Skyles, of Cumberland, 
Md.  The following brothers and sisters preceded her to the grave: John Johnson, 
George Johnson, Theophilus Johnson, Mrs. Jacob Philson, Mrs. Frank Collins and 
Barbara Johnson.  She also leaves two nieces residing in Berlin:  Mrs. A. R. 
Dallam and Mrs. J. P. McCabe.
  Johnson & Son prepared the body for burial.  Funeral services were conducted 
Thursday afternoon, with Rev. D. S. Stephan, pastor of the Trinity Reformed 
Church, of which Miss Johnson was a member, officiating.
