  James R. Johnson, 75, Garrett RD 1, died Feb. 1, 1988, in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born July 21, 1912, in Summit Township, son of the
  late Martin and Edith (Sanner) Johnson.  Survived by: widow, Annie Ree
  (Giles) Johnson; son, Philip, Garrett RD 1; one grandchildren; three
  brothers and one sister, Robert, Paul, Clyde and Miss Mary, all of Garrett
  RD 1.  Member of Center Church.  Well-known auctioneer and cooper.  Friends
  will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at
  Leckemby Funeral Home, where service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. R.E.
  Lacy and Rev. Kevin Kline officiating.  Interment, Center Church
  Cemetery.  Family suggests expressions of sympathy be made to Meyersdale
  Community Hospital in his name.
