    JONAS J. JOHNSON
  
    Jonas Josiah Johnson, 53, of Grantsville RD 1, Md., died Thursday, Aug.
  31, 1989, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    Born Feb. 11, 1936, in Grantsville, Md., he was the son of the late Jonas
  Harrison and Anna (Fitzpatrick) Johnson.
    He was a sawmill operator and a member of the Methodist Church and
  Casselman Valley Sportsmen's Club.
    Surviving are his widow, Mary V. (Ross) Johnson; two stepson, Melvin
  Lininger and Cecil E. Stein, both of Grantsville, Md.; one stepdaughter,
  Mary Alice Deem, Deer Park, Md.; three brothers, Clement Johnson,
  Cumberland, Md.; David Johnson, of Ohio; and Boyd Johnson, Oakland, Md.;
  two sister, Mary Crosco, Deer Park, Md.; and Effie Johnson, Kensington; and
  five step-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where
  services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. W. W. Marin. 
  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
