Johnson, 89, Stoystown RD 2, died July 10, 1985, at Siemon Lakeview Manor, Somerset. Born March 26, 1896, in New Baltimore, son of the late John and Florence (Gaynor) Johnson. Preceded in death by wife, the former Carrie Brubaker; daughter, Florence Krajnik; grandson, Danny Lenio; brother, Ernest C.; and sister, Marian Kipp. Survived by these children: Louise Lenio and Ray, both of Stoystown RD 2; Mrs. Joseph (Vanda) Sweet, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Hugh Don (Virginia) Whisenant, and Thomas, both of Williamsburg, Va.; Kenneth of Vienna, Va.; and Michael of Valleyjo, Calif.; also, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Retired school teacher having taught 41 years in Shade Township schools; charter member and adjutant for many years of Robert P. Hite Post 257, American Legion, Stoystown; former member of Somerset County Wool Growers Association. Family will be received friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes officiating.
