    Martin Daniel Johnson, 90, of Garrett RD 1, died Feb. 28, 1973 at his
  home.  Born in Somerset County. Aug. 30, 1882, he was a son of the late
  Daniel and Suzanna (Handwork) Johnson.  He was also preceded in death by
  his wife, the former Edith Sanner, and a son, Elmer.
    Mr. Johnson was a craftsman of reknown, working with wood.  He made many
  beautiful items in his shop at his home.  He was well known in the area.
    Surviving are these children:  Millard, Rockwood RD1; Oscar, Meyersdale
  RD 3; James, Charles, Robert, Paul, Clyde, Roy and Miss Mary Johnson, all
  of Garrett RD 1; 35 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, seven
  great-grandchildren and a brother, Adam Johnson, Meyersdale.
    Funeral service was held Friday afternoon in Konhaus Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, with Rev. William H. Snyder officiating.  Interment in Center
  Church Cemetery.
